Delete a user

Sometimes you may need to delete a user, for example because a colleague is leaving the company or for other reasons.

Note: It is important to note that when you delete a user in Guardey, it is permanently deleted and cannot be restored. So take care when performing this action.

Delete User - By User

Step 1: Access the Guardey Admin Portal

1. Log in to the Guardey Portal: Start by logging in to your Guardey account. Then go to the admin section
2. Navigate to ‘Users’: In the admin dashboard, you will find a section called Users. Click this to get an overview of all users within your organisation.

Step 2: Deactivate user

1. Manage user: Find the user you want to delete in the user list. Click Manage User behind the email address of the user in question.
2. Navigate to Settings: In the user's management mode, find the Settings option. Click this to access the various actions.
3. Deactivate user: In the settings menu, find the option Deactivate user. Click this to permanently delete the user. ℹ️ Please note that this action cannot be undone.

Delete user - Multiple users

When you want to delete multiple users at once, the bulk action option is very handy. It allows you to select multiple users at once and perform the same action.

Step 1: Access the Guardey Admin Portal

1. Log in to the Guardey Portal: Start by logging in to your Guardey account. Then go to the admin section
2. Navigate to ‘Users’: In the admin dashboard, you will find a section called Users. Tick the checkbox next to the users you want to delete. Once you tick the first checkbox, the possible bulk actions will appear.

3. Bulk actions: The following actions are available:

   Select All: Select all users in the list.
   Re-Invite: Invite users again.
   Move to Group: Move selected users to a specific group.
   Reset game progress: Reset the progress of selected users.
   Deactivate User: Select this option to remove all selected users.

Step 2: Deactivating users

1. Click on ‘Deactivate User’: Once you have selected the desired users, choose the Deactivate User option. This removes all selected users at once.
