Getting started with challenges
Start using Guardey by opening the email invitation sent by your organization. This invitation includes a personal login link. Use it to access the platform for the first time. Follow the steps in this guide for a smooth login: Log in to Guardey
After logging in, the platform will take you through a short onboarding process. Set up your account and create a fictional organization. This setup prepares your account and activates the first five challenges.

Once onboarding is complete, open and complete your first challenge right away. Follow this step-by-step guide to get started: How to complete your first challenge
New challenges every week
Every Tuesday at 2:00 PM (UTC), a new challenge becomes available. You’ll receive a notification by email when it’s ready. Click the link in the email or log in to your Guardey portal to begin.
If you haven’t received an email:
- Check your spam or junk folder
- Make sure your email settings allow messages from Guardey
- Still no email? Follow these troubleshooting steps

Complete your weekly challenge to unlock the bonus question. Staying consistent with both helps you earn more points, climb the leaderboard, and improve your cybersecurity awareness.
The bonus question is an additional opportunity to earn extra points and deepen your understanding of the weekly topic. In most cases, bonus questions do not result in point deductions or reputation loss, though there may be exceptions depending on the type of question.
You can read more about how bonus challenges work in this article.

Why other colleagues may have more or fewer challenges
Start dates and completion speed differ from person to person. This means that not everyone will be on the same week. The platform is designed this way to avoid overloading new participants and to support gradual learning.
- Everyone starts with access to the first 5 challenges.
- New challenges unlock one by one after each previous challenge is completed.
- Some may be further along, others just starting out-depending on individual progress.
Additional information
- Scheduling more challenges
Challenges can be scheduled up to five weeks in advance, but never beyond the furthest week already unlocked within the organization.
For example: if your organization has unlocked challenges up to week 20, we can schedule challenges up to and including week 20, even if a specific user is currently on week 17.
To schedule additional challenges, contact support@guardey.com.
- Participation during time off
Being on leave or vacation does not lead to immediate point loss. For more information, see the following article: Losing points while on vacation
